The World Zakat Forum was established in 2010, consisting of more than 40 member countries. In 2021, the World Zakat Forum became the World Zakat and Waqf Forum. WZWF has been organising various Zakat agendas and strategies, with Zakat institutions from the respected delegate member countries.
This year, the WZWF 2022 will be hosted in the United Kingdom with several dignitaries and key stakeholders for the annual Zakat and Waqf Forum. This will be done under the banner of “Leeds 2022”. The key themes that will be explored are as follows:

- Decentralised Finance and role of Zakat and Waqf
- Integrating Islamic Social Financial Instruments for Sustainability and Transformation
- Is a Zakat Institution the same as any charity institution? What is the role of a Zakat institution?
